Parking Attendants in Pasuruan Will Be Covered by Insurance, Is It Really Necessary?

Printable.biz.id – Parking attendants, or "Jukir," play a crucial role in contributing retribution payments to the regional treasury. Moreover, their job carries certain risks, making insurance coverage essential for them.

The Director of CV Pasuruan Madinah, Steven Kusumanegara, revealed that his company plans to provide insurance for parking attendants. However, in the initial phase of the program, not all attendants will receive insurance immediately.

Nevertheless, he assured that, in the future, the same protection would be extended to all parking attendants. With insurance, they wouldn’t have to worry about medical expenses and could work with greater enthusiasm.

"We want to improve parking management, and one way to do that is by providing insurance," said Steve, as he is commonly known.

"This plan has already been communicated to the Department of Transportation (Dishub), and they have agreed," Steve added.

Meanwhile, the Head of Pasuruan City's Department of Transportation, Andriyanto, stated that the local government has no objections as long as the company continues to contribute retribution payments to the regional treasury. He noted that the current monthly collections are still far from the target.

"The monthly retribution collection is still far below the target. The goal is IDR 5.1 billion, but last month, we only collected around IDR 100 million," Andri explained.
